ABOUT BETH
I Landed My Dream Career.
Now I Help Students
Build Theirs
Hi, I'm Beth Stivers — former Disney Marketing Manager and educator, current career coach, speaker, and founder of Market Your Magic.
Throughout my career, I've had the opportunity to work in Marketing at Walt Disney World Resort, teach university students, mentor hundreds of college students and young professionals, and particiate in the hiring and interview process. Those experiences gave me a unique perspective on something I believe every student needs to learn:
Getting an education is important.
But students also need to learn how to turn that education into a career.

Experience that Shapes My Approach
I’ve had the opportunity to experience career development from many sides—as a student, educator, mentor, manager, interviewer, and now career-readiness coach and speaker.
Along the way, I have:
Built my career at Walt Disney World, ultimately achieving my goal of becoming a Marketing Manager

Taught English composition at the university level, giving me experience educating and connecting with college students

Completed two Disney College Programs, and two Disney Professional Internships, gaining firsthand experience with internships and early career development

Mentored hundreds of college students and young professionals as they developed personally and professionally

Gained firsthand hiring and interviewing experience, including helping evaluate candidates for internship positions

Facilitated educational workshops and learning experiences for students

Developed professional expertise in marketing, communication, personal branding, and storytelling

Created The Career Starter Kit: Everything Employers Wish They Could Tell You Before Graduation to turn career advice into practical action
Founded Market Your Magic to help students build the confidence, skills, experience, and professional presence they need to pursue their goals

But the accomplishment I care about most isn’t a job title or company name. It’s having the opportunity to help students recognize their potential, believe bigger things are possible for their futures, and give them the practical tools to go after those possibilities.

Why I Created
Market Your Magic
After working with students and seeing the hiring process firsthand, I realized there was a gap.
Students spend years preparing to graduate, but many aren't taught how to prepare to get hired.
How do you build a résumé when you don't have much experience? How do you network? What belongs on LinkedIn? How do you find internships? How do you communicate your value in an interview? And how do you stand out when hundreds of other applicants have similar qualifications?
Market Your Magic was created to answer those questions.
Today, I help high school and college students develop the skills, experience, confidence, and professional presence they need to prepare for professional opportunities through speaking engagements, live webinars, and one-on-one career coaching.
What Does "Market Your Magic" Mean?
Get to Know Us
Every student has a unique combination of strengths, experiences, interests, skills, personality, and potential.
That's your magic.
But having something valuable to offer isn't enough—you also need to know how to communicate that value to employers.
That's the marketing.
Market Your Magic helps students recognize what makes them valuable, build the skills and experience to back it up, and confidently communicate what they bring to the table.

My own career certainly didn’t follow a perfectly planned path.
My journey began with the Disney College Program and eventually included education, teaching, facilitating educational workshops, mentoring students, writing, networking, and volunteering for opportunities outside of my regular responsibilities.
Over time, those seemingly small experiences helped me develop the skills, relationships, and professional reputation that eventually led me to achieve one of my biggest career goals: becoming a Marketing Manager at Walt Disney World.
And that experience taught me something I now share with students: Dream careers aren't built through one big break. They're built through hundreds of small decisions, relationships, experiences, and opportunities along the way.
Working in marketing at Disney was once my dream career—and I achieved it. Eventually, though, my definition of my dream life changed, and I chose to leave Disney to focus on becoming a wife and mother.
That experience taught me another lesson I want students to hear: Your dreams are allowed to change.
Success isn't a company name or job title. The goal is to build a career—and ultimately a life—that is meaningful to you.
Today, Market Your Magic allows me to bring together so many parts of my own journey: education, mentoring, marketing, speaking, writing, and helping young people prepare for what's ahead.
